Q. How do I join this forum?
A. Membership of this forum is restricted to members of 969 (St Helens) Squadron ATC. If you are a member of the Sqn, either Probationer, Cadet, NCO, Staff, or the Civilian Committee, you can register using the register link at the top of the page.
Q. If I register, what happens next?
A. Your application will be processed by an Administrator of the Sqn, you may be asked to verify your identity before being given access.
Q. Verification? How?
A. By email from an Administrator. Usually you will be asked for some basic detail that enables us to verify that you are a member of the Sqn. It is therefore essential that you have a valid and working email account in case we need to verify your application.
Q. I'm a member of a different Sqn., can I join this forum?
A. No. We would be unable to verify or maintain your credentials.
Q. How long does this process take? How long before I can access the forum?
A. Usually you can have access within 24 hours, please allow longer though during Sqn Stand Down or organised camps.
Q. How safe is my data?
A. We don't ask for any data that is not on already on our file. Verification emails are deleted once approved.
Q. How safe is this site?
A. Access is limited to current members of the Sqn. We cannot accept responsibility if you choose to share your private data with others in the forum, either through your personal profile or on the boards, and all other information held by the board is as secure as PHPbb can make it...please be aware nothing is 100% successful!
Q. I think my data or login details have been hacked or stolen, what should I do?
A. Inform Sqn. Staff and Board Administrators or Moderators immediately.
Q. How do I resign from the forum?
A. Sqn members that leave the ATC or are inactive on this site for 30 days will be 'locked out' of the forum - remember that just logging in keeps your status to 'active'.
Q. How do I complain or report inappropriate content?
A. Inform either an Administrator or Moderator. All members should be aware that this board is an extention of the ATC and as such you could be disciplined for inappropriate behaviour or postings. Further, you would be banned from the board for a period of time.
Q. There seems to be a lot of rules, why is that?
A. The safety and security of Cadets, Staff, and Committee members is our primary concern. We don't want to spoil anyone's enjoyment of this experience, neither do we want to put anyone at risk because of it.
